Position Overview

SAIC is looking for a Mathematician specializing in Missile Test Support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver mathematical analysis for missile battery evaluations.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols for various missile battery systems, overseeing the execution of these protocols, gathering and analyzing data, and presenting findings to inform the design of battery systems across diverse applications, including innovative prototypes and developmental energy solutions.
  • Conduct tests including aging and surveillance, lot acceptance, qualification, and specialized engineering assessments.
  • Ensure that plans and procedures align with Department of Defense standards.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or Mathematics with no prior experience required.
  • Solid grounding in mathematics and physics, complemented by practical laboratory experience.
  • Ideal candidates will be self-driven, meticulous, and collaborative team players.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and standard office software is essential.

CLEARANCE:

  • Interim Secret clearance is required to commence work, with the potential to obtain a full secret clearance, supported by SAIC.
