Location: Tampa, Florida

Duties:

  • Develop and implement the Catholic Religious Education program, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.
  • Plan and schedule a 12-month calendar of Catholic Religious Education events and classes, collaborating with the Catholic Priest or his designate.
  • Coordinate with volunteers to staff the Religious Education program, providing training and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Religious Education staff and attend Liturgy Commission meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare and disseminate Religious Education publicity materials to promote the program and engage the community.
  • Manage the registration process and maintain a roster database for students, teachers, staff, and candidates for the Sacraments of Initiation and Reconciliation.
  • Provide logistical support to the teaching staff, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of program services.
  • Develop and track the annual Catholic Religious Education budget, submitting funds requests in accordance with local procedures.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience as an education coordinator or teacher, with a strong background in Catholic education.
  • Possess pastoral sensitivity, confidentiality, managerial experience, secretarial skills, conversational English, and computer proficiency, including the ability to telework.
  • Demonstrate a familiarity with religious education requirements, rites, and practices, with a strong commitment to the Catholic faith.
