The U.S. Summer Internship Program: Statistics Intern at Takeda is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to develop advanced Bayesian statistical methods in clinical trial design and analysis.

As a statistics intern, you will conduct a literature review to understand existing methodologies, then proceed to develop and implement the proposed methodology using appropriate statistical software. You will work directly with a supervisor and collaborate closely with statisticians to provide valuable insights and recommendations in the realm of statistical analysis.

This internship involves working on real-world clinical trial applications, allowing you to experience the impact of your work and gain expertise in techniques essential for clinical trials. You will deepen your understanding of advanced statistical and deep learning methods, preparing you for high-stakes roles in biostatistics.

Job Requirements:

  • This position is remote.
  • You must be enrolled in a PhD program in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a very closely related field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles, concepts, methods, and standards of statistical research are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully communicate well both verbally and in writing in a US business environment, are necessary.

Internship Details:

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks long, depending on the start date.
  • You must be able to commit to one of the two time frames.
  • Able to work full-time 40 hours a week during internship dates.
