Lactation Consultant

Lavender Lactation is seeking a dedicated and experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to provide expert guidance and support to breastfeeding and bottle-feeding mothers and their families.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of lactating patients and infants, identifying any challenges or concerns.
• Provide personalized lactation education and support, including effective breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle-feeding techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the specific needs of each mother-infant dyad.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and progress for case management purposes.
• Stay current with best practices and continuing education in lactation consulting.
• Utilize data analysis skills to evaluate outcomes and improve lactation services provided.

• Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is mandatory.
• Strong medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pediatric infant knowledge are essential.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
• CPR certified.
• Experience in case management outside the healthcare setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
• Strong analytical skills for data evaluation and outcome tracking.
• A compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on supporting the dyad in their lactation and feeding journey.

This is a flexible 1099 contractor position with the opportunity to choose assignments in Davidson and Williamson County.
