Lavender Lactation is seeking a dedicated and experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to provide expert guidance and support to breastfeeding and bottle-feeding mothers and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of lactating patients and infants, identifying any challenges or concerns.
- Provide personalized lactation education and support, including effective breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle-feeding techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the specific needs of each mother-infant dyad.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and progress for case management purposes.
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in lactation consulting.
- Utilize data analysis skills to evaluate outcomes and improve lactation services provided.
- Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is mandatory.
- Strong medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pediatric infant knowledge are essential.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- CPR certified.
- Experience in case management outside the healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong analytical skills for data evaluation and outcome tracking.
- A compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on supporting the dyad in their lactation and feeding journey.
This is a flexible 1099 contractor position with the opportunity to choose assignments in Davidson and Williamson County.
