Job Overview

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer Co-op to join our team. This position supports Messer projects at the project site, working closely with the site Project Manager and Project Engineer in the management and administration of the project. Key responsibilities include:

  • Site Layout: Assist in coordinating and planning site layouts to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of project files and drawings.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets Messer's quality standards and client expectations.
  • Field Production Analysis: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and optimize project efficiency.
  • Project Controls Input: Provide input on project scheduling, cost reporting, and project management solutions.
  • Subcontractor and Workforce Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors and workforce to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Shop Drawing/Submittal Control: Review and approve shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Material and Equipment Expediting: Source and procure necessary materials and equipment for the project.
  • Subcontractor/Supplier Solicitation: Identify and engage qualified subcontractors and suppliers for the project.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with a focus on construction processes, industry, or delivery methods.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
