Job Summary

The PLC Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and preserving automated industrial machinery at Simmons Pet Food. This role requires a strong understanding of PLC controls, Allen Bradley programming, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on packaging and process systems, including site auxiliary equipment.
  • Execute work assignments related to instrumentation, packaging, and process controls, electronic equipment troubleshooting, and frequency drives.
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform necessary maintenance to ensure proper operation of automated systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain records of maintenance performed, work orders requested, and parts requested.
  • Communicate and train production staff on electrical hazards and techniques in maintenance.
  • Participate as a member of the team, fostering strong cohesiveness and synergy within the organization.
  • Understand and maintain familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems, including quality, security, and office environment.

Requirements

  • Technical College or Vocational training in PLC controls, Allen Bradley programming.
  • Good background in manufacturing.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
