Job Summary

As a Metrology Technician at KBR, you will play a critical role in supporting the Embedded Metrology Laboratories, providing services to various clients including Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, and Garrett Advance Motion. Your primary responsibilities will include calibrating and certifying Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, utilizing certified laboratory standards and manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and certify TMDE using certified laboratory standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex TMDE and integrated electronic systems using theories of operation, block diagrams, and software diagnostics.
  • Accurately record and report maintenance actions using applicable maintenance data collection.
  • Resolve group and customer issues, seeking to improve the overall productivity of the department.
  • Conduct uncertainty analysis, develop procedures, and ensure documentation conforms to Quality Systems requirements.

Requirements

  • Requires completion of formal training from a military, PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school.
  • AS degree or applicable technical training and certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal experience.
  • Previous customer service experience.
