Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Akron Children's. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of an anesthesiologist to deliver high-quality anesthesia care for medical and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide patient care before, during, and after medical procedures or surgeries by performing patient assessments, preparing patients for anesthesia, administering and maintaining anesthesia, and overseeing patient recovery.
2. Perform administrative functions to support the efficient functioning of the anesthesia department.
3. Maintain approved supervision agreements and participate in performance improvement projects.
4. Other duties as required.
Requirements:
1. Experience in anesthesia as a CRNA is required.
2. Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
3. Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required.
4. Education: Master's degree in a related field is required; Doctorate degree is preferred.
5. Certification: Registered Nurse licensure, CRNA certification, Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists certification, and ACLS certification is required.
