Position Overview

Wilkes University is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Overnight Custodial Technician within the Campus Support Services department. This position involves working from Monday evening through Saturday morning, ensuring a clean and safe environment across various campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in restrooms, classrooms, hallways, and office spaces.
  • Utilize light floor care equipment, including vacuums and floor buffers, to maintain cleanliness.
  • Conduct general maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs and performing minor repairs.
  • Assist with event setups and seasonal grounds upkeep.
  • Manage the removal and transportation of waste and recyclables throughout the campus.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Proficient technical skills for performing custodial tasks.
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Competence in reading and understanding safety regulations and relevant documentation.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Word, Excel, and web-based applications.
