Position Title: DCG Risk Management Consultant

The core responsibility of a DCG Risk Management Consultant involves the independent evaluation and validation of clients' Asset Liability Management (ALM) and liquidity models along with their related processes. The initial emphasis will be on assessments centered around liquidity. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison for clients throughout various projects, overseeing client communications, ensuring timely completion of reviews, and presenting validation results. Furthermore, you will have the chance to collaborate with the Sales team for renewals and cross-selling opportunities, as well as participate in formal presentations with Asset Liability Committees (ALCO) and Boards as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate the sufficiency of client liquidity risk management frameworks, stress testing methodologies, and contingency funding strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies related to liquidity risk management.
  • Examine client processes and controls against industry best practices and frameworks, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and communicate findings and recommendations to client leadership.
  • Exhibit strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and decision-making skills when addressing intricate issues and institution-specific strengths and weaknesses.
  • Offer recommendations to refine liquidity-related procedures and improve decision-making for ALCO concerning liquidity risk management.
  • Document and present validation outcomes and recommendations to clients through both written and verbal communications, typically shared during close-out discussions and stakeholder meetings.
  • Maintain a high level of technical proficiency and stay informed about regulatory changes, trends, and advancements in asset/liability management and liquidity risk management within the banking industry.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure successful project execution, engaging with various stakeholders through diverse communication channels.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in liquidity risk management frameworks, stress testing methodologies, and contingency funding strategies; experience in regulatory bodies, accounting firms, professional services, or consulting firms is beneficial.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and internal policies related to liquidity risk management.
  • Able to drive change while fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, client management, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with a minimum of 2-3 years of financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site client consultations, with travel typically accounting for less than 10% of the year.
