Job Title: Registered Nurse-Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse-Labor and Delivery to join our team. As a member of our Labor and Delivery unit, you will provide exceptional patient care to women and newborns, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to women and newborns in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of each patient.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss patient care and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and quality, identifying and reporting potential safety concerns and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and quality improvement principles.
