About the Role

At Signature Health Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Inpatient Addiction Care Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to individuals struggling with addiction, utilizing evidence-based practices and a patient-centered approach.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on medication management and other relevant topics, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Respond to incidents and unscheduled situations, demonstrating a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Facilitate health education groups, addressing topics such as general health, medication interactions, and disease processes, to empower patients with knowledge and skills.
  • Monitor high-risk patients and comorbidities, communicating effectively with prescribers and site managers to ensure optimal care.
  • Coordinate patient care with staff and other members of the healthcare treatment team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Partner with professional staff in crisis management interventions, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness, aligning with the organization's mission and values.
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved program in registered nursing.
  • Valid unencumbered RN license in the state of Ohio.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience, preferably in addiction care or a related field.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • A working knowledge of mental illness and the disease concept of chemical dependency.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with technology and electronic medical records.
