As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery that joins metal components, performing tasks with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities- Execute routine tasks with minimal supervision while adhering to detailed instructions.
- Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge in welding techniques and processes.
- Identify and report issues in the welding process promptly to supervisors.
- Utilize engineering drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment safely, following all safety protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team success.
- Provide informal mentorship to new team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or GED; a technical school certificate is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in at least four welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW.
- The ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with various instructions.
