Job Title: Underground Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Underground Mechanic to join our team at OceanaGold Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery used in our underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety protocols
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to achieve maintenance goals
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
