Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Danville, IL. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including ambulances and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient and immediate care to patients
  • Monitor and maintain ambulance readiness, including cleaning and inspecting equipment
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Provide direction and leadership to EMTs while on ambulance calls
  • Transport patients in wheelchairs and manage care during transport
  • Administer medications and perform advanced life support procedures as needed
Requirements
  • Current Paramedic license in the state of Illinois
  • Two years of driving experience and one year of paramedic experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed
