Job Summary

The University of the Incarnate Word is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Strength and Conditioning Coach (Graduate Assistant) to join our team. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for assisting in the strength and conditioning of student-athletes, working closely with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, and contributing to the overall success of our programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the scheduling, training, testing, organization, and administration of teams as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
  • Work directly with the football program as needed.
  • Maintain the weight room, supplement areas, and all equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sports Medicine, Sport coaches, Administration, and University staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Acceptance into a UIW graduate program.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year working in a collegiate strength & conditioning program.
  • Prior experience as a collegiate student-athlete.

Work Environment

This is a student position open to current UIW graduate students. The start date for this position may be contingent upon the reopening of the UIW campus. The work hours are 25 hours per week, varied hours, with some night & weekend hours required at select points of the calendar year.

Physical Demands

The ability to lift up to 45 lbs is required for this position.
