Job Summary:

As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician with Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients. Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, you will be responsible for transcribing physician orders, preparing medications, and maintaining pharmacy merchandise and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe physician orders and prepare medications for dispensing
  • Maintain pharmacy merchandise and equipment
  • Assist in the dispensing and distribution of medications
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Pharmacy Technician License (California)
  • Working knowledge of aseptic technique and ability to prepare sterile IV products
  • Ability to read, understand, and transcribe pharmaceutical information
  • Ability to learn and willingness to prepare chemotherapeutic agents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in operating unit dose distribution systems, I.V admixture programs, and TPN compounding
