About [AgCentral Farmer's Co-op] General Summary: The Sales Associate will support the receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise while ensuring a clean and organized presentation of products and overall store cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

  • Represent AgCentral Farmer's Co-op positively.
  • Proactively assist customers in resolving issues.
  • Welcome customers upon entry and thank them upon exit.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor; collaborate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ensure all inquiries and calls are addressed promptly and courteously.
  • Direct any unresolved customer complaints to management.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge and familiarity with store layout.
  • Provide personalized assistance to customers, aiming to exceed their expectations.
Store Operations:

  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with the receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
  • Help maintain appropriate back stock levels.
  • Support daily maintenance and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
  • Ensure the sales floor is organized, including promotional displays and featured products.
  • Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store.
  • Support Department Specialists with tasks such as price changes and special orders.
  • Ensure all signage is current and accurate throughout the store.
  • Operate equipment safely with proper training.
  • Communicate any store-related issues to the General Manager for follow-up.
  • Share merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas with the General Manager.
  • Participate in store meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to work 40+ hours per week.
Education/Training:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
Previous retail experience preferred.
Experience in hardware or maintenance preferred.
Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), and climbing are required.

Seeking candidates with knowledge of animal vaccination schedules, types of vaccines, and administration methods. Familiarity with cattle handling equipment is also desired.
