Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nocturnist to join our expanding medical team. The selected candidate will play a vital role in providing oversight, guidance, and education to residents within the departments of medicine and family practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer medical consultations as required for surgical and Ob/Gyn residents.
  • Deliver emergency inpatient care for medical patients on non-teaching medical and family practice services.

The Nocturnist will collaborate with two other nocturnal physicians, managing an average of five admissions per night per physician, with a balanced schedule of 7 nights on and 7 nights off. Our Hospitalist group ensures continuous inpatient care, operating 24/7.

Practice Focus:

This role is exclusively dedicated to inpatient primary care services, covering general floors and critical care units.

Qualifications:

  • Valid MD License is mandatory.
  • Board eligibility or certification is required, with a strong preference for Internal Medicine.
  • Prior experience in Family Practice with sufficient inpatient exposure to fulfill essential duties.
  • Exceptional communication, critical care, and computer proficiency are essential.
