Key Responsibilities- Obtain detailed medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab results and imaging studies, to guide patient care.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to identify opportunities for care management and improvement.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Texas.
- Specialty certification, such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Experience working with children with chronic illnesses and knowledge of long-term medications and drug interactions.
- Strong physical assessment and diagnostic skills, as well as experience in patient and family education and coordination of care.
