We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as caregivers. As a caregiver with ComForCare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients, providing them with the care and support they need to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The Direct Care Worker (DCW) provides clients with various personal care and homemaker/companion services through an established plan of care. This includes assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily living activities, as well as providing companionship and respite services.

Essential Functions:
  • Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, nail/skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices, change of position, with toileting, commode, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding.
  • Companion/Sitter/Household Management: Provide companionship and respite services for family, perform homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Medication Assistance Services (with RN supervision and delegation): Assist clients with taking their medications as prescribed.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current CPR certification, and successful completion of a state-approved Direct Care Worker or Home Health Aide course. You must also be listed in good standing on the Pennsylvania Aide Registry and achieve a minimum score of 80% on the competency exam (Home Health Aide Test). Additionally, you must meet passing criteria on the DEARS Ethics test and possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
