We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at LGP Internal Med Blacksburg. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for examination, instructing patients on collection of necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vital signs.
- Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments, and instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions.
- Manage patient records, including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results.
- Schedule tests and treatments, including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider.
- A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.
