Chipton-Ross is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our occupational health department, you will be responsible for providing medical services to employees and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job-related illnesses and injuries.
- Deliver occupational health services, including surveillance programs, to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records systems in compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Dispense over-the-counter medications as needed.
- Work with industrial toxicologists and/or hygienists to identify environmental factors and stresses in the workplace that may cause sickness or discomfort among employees.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with some occupational health experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet navigation.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidential documents and information.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines.
- Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- 2+ years of experience in occupational health.
- Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certification.
- Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal) certification.
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification.
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. School must be accredited.
Work SchedulePart-time. 100% On-Site. Hours: Thursday-Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm - may be asked to provide additional support to cover time off of other nurses.
