City of Hope is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patients' physical therapy requirements and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Administer treatments and conduct tests as prescribed by physicians to support patient rehabilitation and recovery.
- Assist with administrative duties unrelated to patient care, such as clerical tasks, posting charges, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide therapeutic rehabilitation services, including patient treatments, education, documentation of treatments and outcomes, and charge entries in accordance with the state practice act.
- Develop a treatment plan with a specified timeframe, objectives, and an evaluation of the patient's potential for rehabilitation after receiving a referral from a qualified practitioner.
- Consult with physicians as needed for clarification of orders, modifications to patient treatment plans, patient progress, and recommendations for durable medical equipment.
- Graduate or holder of a certificate/diploma from an APTA-approved school of Physical Therapy or a school recognized by the World Congress of Physical Therapy.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience preferred, with acute care experience highly valued.
- Acute care and Inpatient experience preferred.
- Must be licensed in the state of Georgia, or possess a current temporary license, or be prepared to pass the state licensure examination.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
