Position Overview
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is integral to ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care within the established scope of practice.
- Oversee and guide patient and family education, as well as the activities of other nursing staff, while upholding high standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
- Maintain accountability for the care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding any changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have prior experience in an acute care hospital setting. A Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) designation or similar certification is advantageous, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
