Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Dance Coach to join our team at Crossroads YMCA Inc. As a Dance Coach, you will be responsible for leading dance classes for children and teenagers, promoting their physical and emotional well-being through fun and engaging activities.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in teaching dance lessons and be able to create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of their students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead dance classes for children and teenagers, promoting their physical and emotional well-being
  • Create engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students
  • Provide high-quality instruction and guidance to ensure student progress and enjoyment
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required
Requirements
  • Minimum age 15 years old
  • 12 months' experience in participating in dance training; prior teaching experience preferred
  • Certifications in CPR/AED & First Aid and New Leader Orientation within 30 days of hire
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
