Job Title: Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at the Houston Independent School District. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing a speech therapy program to facilitate the speech therapy needs of communicatively disordered students in assigned schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students in assigned schools.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents and other professionals as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certification and Licensure.
  • Speech and Hearing Therapy Certificate, or Speech and Language Therapy Certificate, or State Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • No prior experience required.
Working Conditions:

The Speech Therapist will work in a school setting, providing services to students in assigned schools. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
