This role is designed to oversee the comprehensive management of all hotel operations, including sales and events, while supervising associated personnel. The individual in this position is expected to be proficient in performing the responsibilities of various non-management roles within the hotel, such as front desk and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage reservations and ensure guest satisfaction through effective problem-solving.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, train, and supervise front desk and housekeeping staff.
  • Oversee scheduling and payroll reporting.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings and maintain employee files.
  • Conduct property tours and manage labor costs efficiently.

In addition to hotel management duties, this position will also serve as the Sales and Events Manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively generate new and repeat business for sales and events.
  • Engage with clients to finalize event details, including menu planning and setup.
  • Handle billing inquiries and provide administrative support as necessary.
  • Coordinate special events related to the hotel and ensure high-quality guest experiences.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hotel management and sales/events.
  • Strong customer service skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Current OLCC and Food Handler certifications.
  • Proficient in computer usage and communication.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely.
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Perform repetitive movements and fine hand manipulations.
  • Extensive phone use, managing multiple lines effectively.

This position demands a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, whether in person, over the phone, or through other communication channels. All employees are expected to perform their duties safely and report any safety concerns promptly.
