Job Title: Nursing Assistant - Med/Surg - Nights - Mount Nittany

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Mount Nittany. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct patient care, including basic hygienic care, preparing patients for transport, and assisting with activities of daily living. You will also respond to patient call lights, take and record vital signs, and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Provides direct patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, and skin care.
2. Prepares patients for transport and transports as directed.
3. Assists patients with activities of daily living, such as getting in and out of bed, feeding, undressing/dressing.
4. Responds to patient call lights and requests, and relays messages to team leader or charge nurse.
5. Takes and records vital signs, height, and weight as directed.
6. Changes linens as needed.
7. Correctly measures and records Intake and Output.
8. Distributes drinking water and nourishment, administers sitz baths and hot and cold applications as directed.
9. Assists in the admission, discharge, and transfer process as directed.
10. Assists patients with handling and care of clothing and other personal property throughout their hospital stay.
11. Labels patient belongings and personal care items.
12. Records and reports basic hygienic care provided, patient complaints, and equipment set-up when trained.
13. Performs pre-operative shaving of patients as directed.
14. Performs Bedside Glucose (BSG) testing.

Requirements:
Must be certified as a nursing assistant in the state of Pennsylvania, hold current AHA BLS, and have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Must be able to work night shifts, every other weekend, and may include holidays.
