As a Critical Care ICU Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education of patients under your care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating patients and planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care effectively.
- Assisting physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Conducting various patient tests and administering medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice.
- Encouraging patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and their families about conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Utilizing your experience and judgment to develop and achieve care objectives.
- Performing a range of tasks, where creativity and independent thinking are encouraged.
- Must be a Registered Nurse in Illinois; BSN or MSN preferred.
- Current CPR and ACLS certifications; PALS certification is preferred.
- Strong preference for candidates with emergency or critical care experience.
- Experience in an acute care environment is required.
