Ascension is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support to our Pharmacists.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to Pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems to ensure accurate and efficient medication distribution.
  • Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department, ensuring that medications are stocked and available for patient use.
  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Repackage bulk medications and receive and store incoming supplies.
  • Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient, and health professionals, providing information and support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
