Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team at Coldmasters, a division of the RISE Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and replacing various HVAC and refrigeration equipment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rooftop units, gas heating systems, and walk-in coolers/freezers.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Install and retrofit new equipment, including chillers, boilers, and hydronic pumps.
  • Work on custom, unique systems regularly, requiring strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete replacement jobs and supervise helpers as needed.
Requirements
  • Master 1 Refrigeration or Pipefitter license is highly preferred.
  • Journeyman Refrigeration license in RI and/or MA.
  • 7-10 years of field experience in commercial and industrial environments.
  • EPA universal refrigerant use certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
Work Environment

This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside, often in hot and cold temperatures, and may involve climbing ladders and stairs daily. The workday is based on an 8-hour day between 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available and occasional work during nights and weekends.
