About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Legislative Advocate to join our team at the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN). As a key member of our policy team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to promote health equity and improve health outcomes for communities of color in California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement CPEHN's state legislative, budgetary, and administrative advocacy initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, community partners, and funders to advance our policy agenda.
  • Conduct policy research and analysis on key issues impacting communities of color in California.
  • Testify and conduct public presentations on CPEHN's policy issues and campaigns.
  • Develop policy proposals, advocate, and analyze the success of campaigns.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of public policy experience.
  • At least 2 years of lobbying experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervising experience.
  • Experience working with elected officials and government agencies.
  • Knowledge of California's state legislative and budget process.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $80,500 - $82,500, as well as excellent benefits, including 100% employer-paid health and dental insurance, up to 10% employer retirement contributions, sabbatical leave, generous PTO with 1 week winter holiday every year, frontloaded sick leave, and more.
