Job Title: Travel Nurse ICU RN

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled travel nurse to join our team in Rapid City, South Dakota. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care in the ICU setting.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ICU RN to fill a 13-week travel nursing position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including vital signs, lab results, and medical histories.
  • Develop and implement education plans for patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in South Dakota.
  • 1.5 years of general nursing experience, with a minimum of 6 months of ICU experience.
  • Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
  • Experience with titration of all drips, cardiac procedural recovery, and MI pharmacology.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • BSN required.
