Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operations Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality air ends for internal and OEM customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently or in a team setting to build high-quality air ends.
  • Read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures.
  • Use hand tools, including air and battery-powered drills, to assemble equipment and products.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Maintain equipment and submit work orders as necessary.
  • Problem solve and perform root cause analysis.
  • Engage in computer transactions related to inventory control.
  • Operate a fork truck or other powered industrial vehicle safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in tight tolerance assembly.
  • Medium to expert experience in machine, automotive, marine, aerospace, assembly/maintenance/repair.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to use precision measurement devices to work within tight tolerances.
  • Computer skills, including spreadsheets, data entry, and email.
Working Conditions
  • Lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Lifting over 35 lbs. requires a lifting device, crane, or assistance from another associate.
  • Standing and walking for minimum of 8 hours.
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Working with cranes, sharp edges on machined parts, and moving parts by carts.
  • Must understand and comply with Sullair Safety Standards.
  • Participate in EHS quarterly audits, if required.
  • Required to wear proper PPE for the work area.
  • Required to attend scheduled toolbox and safety meetings.
  • Must immediately report injuries or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
