This position requires a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner III to provide advanced respiratory care services to patients in various settings. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
Provide respiratory care services, including oxygen and aerosolized medication delivery, ventilator care, bronchial hygiene therapy, diagnostic services, and patient and staff education
Monitor patient response to therapies and make recommendations for changes or modifications as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care
Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment
National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or five years CRT experience
Demonstrated clinical competency in at least two of the following environments: Nursery/NICU, PICU, ICU/CCU, ED, and general care areas
