Water Pipelayer

Job Summary

The Water Pipelayer is a critical member of our crew, responsible for supporting the installation and repair of water lines. This role requires a strong understanding of pipeline systems and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the crew in handling and joining water pipe, ensuring every joint meets quality standards.
• Fit pipe that is ditched or drilled in the ground, utilizing equipment such as rubber-tired backhoes and skid steer loaders.
• Locate utilities by hand with a shovel and probe, managing inventory on the truck and teaching other employees how to join pipe to the correct specs.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned, working safely in inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of water groundman experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This role operates in a field environment, requiring extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and standing.
