Job Title: Childcare Educator - Preschool Teacher

Location: Central Arkansas

Salary: $16.00-$16.79 per hour, depending on qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Educator - Preschool Teacher to join our team at the Community Action Program for Central Arkansas. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will be responsible for implementing engaging learning experiences that foster the intellectual, physical, and emotional growth of our young students.

• Curriculum Development: Plan and implement daily lesson plans that align with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) and promote school readiness in children aged 3-5 years.
• Classroom Environment: Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming learning environment that supports positive teacher-child relationships and encourages social-emotional development.
• Families and Community: Foster partnerships with families by conducting regular home visits and parent-teacher conferences, and encouraging family involvement in the educational process.
• Assessment and Documentation: Monitor and document children's growth and development using data collection tools, and use this information to individualize instruction and inform curriculum planning.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other classroom staff, administrative personnel, and support staff to ensure a high-quality educational program.

• Education: Minimum Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience teaching preschool children.
• Experience: One year of experience working with children aged 3-5 years, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications and Training: Computer proficiency, ability to pass tuberculosis screening annually, and valid driver's license with liability insurance.
