Company Overview: Triad Health Systems, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the communities of Gallatin, Owen, and Carroll Counties. This will be a small, retail setting focused on providing high-level patient care rather than meeting prescription count metrics.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in a patient care focused position within a company that promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Participate in patient assistance and quality assurance programs as directed
  • Submit appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement
  • Evaluate patients/clients for appropriateness of therapy provided by the Pharmacy
  • Document and report medication errors to the Pharmacist-In-Charge
  • Maintain records of all transactions of the Pharmacy as necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws and regulations
  • Oversee prescription processing activities to ensure that quality and standard of practice is maintained
  • Participate in regular personnel meetings as necessary
  • Comply with Pharmacy policies
  • Provide excellent customer service using best practices
  • Maintain inventory and stock levels consistent with Pharmacy goals and manufacturer protocols
  • Communicate in a timely manner with customers, physicians, vendors, and colleagues
  • Understand confidentiality with respect to patient/client care; comply with all federal and state laws applicable to confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI); and follow HIPAA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information
  • Properly secure and maintain controlled substances
  • Operate the state prescription drug monitoring program
  • Properly dispose of hazardous waste drugs
  • Follow recall protocol
  • Comply with the legal requirements for pseudoephedrine sales
  • Comply with Medicare Durable Medical Equipment (DME) guidelines
  • Oversee return to stock processing
  • Properly dispose of personal health information
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Maintain a positive and respectful work environment
  • Promote teamwork
  • Provide professional services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a pharmacist in an independent practice preferred, but not required
