Radiologic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic imaging films as directed by physicians and performing routine diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and adjust equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures.
- Instruct patients regarding procedures and select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis.
- Observe patients for vital signs during examination and follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiology equipment.
- Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment, maintain examination rooms, and stock necessary medical and radiological supplies.
- Develop and process radiological film, if applicable, and examine radiology film and/or digital exams for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
- Deliver film to radiologists for reading/interpretation through various computer software systems, if applicable, and prepare films and/or digital copies for FMG Physician/providers or outside provider needs.
- Participate in training employees, residents, and student technologists in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested, and enhance professional growth through continuing education programs, conferences, and workshops.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology, equivalent on-the-job training, or military service or course.
- Within the last two years, one year of experience as a radiology technologist preferred.
- State of Washington certification as a Radiology Technologist.
- Washington State American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT/CCRT) certification required.
- Must have a current CPR certification or must be certified within 30 days of hire date.
$32.08 - $49.69 /hour
