We are looking for candidates with a background in veterinary care who are eager to learn, thrive in a collaborative environment, and prioritize patient care above all. Our 24-hour facility handles a diverse range of cases, including exotic animals.
Key Responsibilities- Handling and restraining patients effectively.
- Administering medications and preparing prescriptions.
- Supporting fellow team members and veterinarians as required.
- Placing intravenous catheters and performing venipuncture.
- Administering medications via various routes (IV, SQ, Oral).
- Assisting with radiographic procedures.
- Conducting diagnostic tests on blood, urine, and fecal samples.
- Managing the admission and discharge processes for patients.
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of prior veterinary experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other staff members.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
- Willingness to work in an environment where exposure to infections or contagious diseases may occur.
