Key Responsibilities
  • Handling and restraining patients effectively.
  • Administering medications and preparing prescriptions.
  • Supporting fellow team members and veterinarians as required.
  • Placing intravenous catheters and performing venipuncture.
  • Administering medications via various routes (IV, SQ, Oral).
  • Assisting with radiographic procedures.
  • Conducting diagnostic tests on blood, urine, and fecal samples.
  • Managing the admission and discharge processes for patients.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of prior veterinary experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other staff members.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Willingness to work in an environment where exposure to infections or contagious diseases may occur.
