We are seeking a skilled Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support K-12 students across Oregon. This part-time, fully remote role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a virtual learning environment.

Job Description

As a Virtual TVI, you will develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments. You will provide direct instruction and support to enhance visual functioning and access to general curriculum.

  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers, parents, and other service providers to support students' educational progress.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' needs and monitor their progress.

You will also adapt curriculum materials and ensure accessible formats for visually impaired students.

Requirements
  • Valid Oregon TVI certification.
  • Previous experience as a TVI, preferably in a virtual setting.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and accessible instructional materials.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
