About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Specialist to join our team at Highmark Health. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the field of medical procedures.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as CPR certification and Act 34 clearance. Prior experience in GI-endoscopy is preferred but not required.
About the Role:
This role involves assisting during endoscopic procedures, maintaining equipment, and communicating effectively with patients and healthcare teams. As an Endoscopy Specialist, you will work under the direction of the Endoscopist and/or Registered Nurse, participating in the maintenance of procedure room supplies and ensuring the integrity of endoscopic equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain procedure room supplies and ensure adequate equipment.
- Function as an integral member of the team during GI-endoscopic procedures.
- Disassemble and reprocess instrumentation post-procedure and maintain documentation.
- Maintain effective two-way communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Assist with special procedures under the direction of the RN and MD.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
