The Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include replacing glass in windows and doors, installing components such as window screens and door hardware, while adhering to safety protocols.

Essential Duties:

  • Travel up to 6 hours daily to various job sites.
  • Replace glass in windows and doors; install window screens, sashes, and hardware.
  • Conduct thorough job site inspections and complete necessary documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute service tasks on Renaissance products in the field.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues encountered during service visits.
  • Educate customers on the maintenance and operation of their window products.
  • Document service-related activities in the Service Module for follow-up and billing purposes.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Order necessary parts via the Service Module as needed.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Prepare service vehicle with required tools and parts regularly.
  • Support the training of new technicians as needed.
  • Maintain the assigned service vehicle in good condition.
  • Complete work orders and communicate ongoing issues with relevant personnel.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and comply with company safety policies.
  • Encourage continuous improvement within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with maps and navigation.
  • Experience with windows and doors is advantageous.
  • Physical capability to lift and work at heights.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools safely.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and random tests.
  • Endurance to stand for long periods during work hours.

Entry-Level Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical degree is a plus.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Proficiency in English communication.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
