Job Title: Staff Telecommunications Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Telecommunications Engineer to join our team at Burns & McDonnell. As a key member of our Transmission & Distribution global practice, you will play a critical role in supporting our Conshohocken, PA office.

Job Summary:

The Staff Telecommunications Engineer will serve as a lead engineer on telecommunications projects, working closely with our clients to design and implement innovative solutions for grid modernization, network development, and renewable energy integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute electrical design of projects from conceptual phase through design completion
• Research, design, and compile project-related data as required by project managers
• Apply knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry
• Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients
• Create project deliverables, including device configurations, network architecture diagrams, and specifications
• Utilize innovative tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3D scanning, and model-based design

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical, computer, or other related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
• 3 years of utility telecommunications project or related experience; consulting experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments
• Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred
