Job Description

Arnold Machine Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality automated equipment, is seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating structural steel frames and operating our saws, shear, and extrusion saw to support our growing activity in equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up MIG and TIG welding machines to fabricate weldments per prints.
  • Operate and set up Sheet Metal Press Brake equipment to assemble and fabricate frame builds.
  • Weld various sheet metals, including stainless steel, to maintain dimensions and overall build squareness.
  • Inspect weldments for conformance to print symbols and specifications.
  • Operate our band saw, shear, or extrusion saw equipment to perform material cuts.
  • Cut material specified per cut list and prints.
  • Work independently while effectively coordinating with other team members to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Must know how to operate MIG and TIG welders, press brake, and various hand tools.
  • Blueprint reading is a requisite.
  • Must be able to read and use standard measuring devices, e.g., tape measure, scale, and calipers.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication concepts and processes, sheet metal experience is a plus.
  • Eager to learn AMI processes to operate our band saw, shear, and extrusion saw.
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals and impute the conversions into the cutting equipment.
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute as part of the dynamic and productive team.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
