Job Title: Java Developer

Genesis10 is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables, contributing to large-scale planning and software engineering deliverables.
  • Analyze and review moderately complex software engineering challenges, requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues, consulting with others to meet software engineering deliverables, leveraging a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with client personnel in software engineering.
  • Lead complex technology initiatives, including company-wide initiatives with broad impact.
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and company-wide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs.
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.
  • Make decisions in developing standard and company-wide best practices for engineering and technology solutions, requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
  • Design, optimization, and documentation of the engineering aspects of the cloud platform.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment requiring constant attention and decision-making.
  • Build and enable cloud infrastructure, automate the orchestration of the entire PCF/Azure/GCP cloud platforms for client enterprises.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot.
  • 4+ years of test automation development experience using Selenium with Java.
  • 3+ years of Java unit test case development experience.
  • 3+ years of microservices development experience.
  • 5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as PCF, Azure, or GCP.
  • 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • 3+ years of experience with Subversion, GitHub.
  • 3+ years of experience with Maven or Gradle.
  • Hands-on experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) using Cucumber, QMetry, and/or Karate framework.
  • Experience with API-level testing, service virtualization, reporting, and test automation coverage reporting.
  • Experience in DevOps and hands-on with build and deploy tools such as Jenkins.
  • Awareness of CI/CD processes in a large application environment.
  • Oracle database experience.
  • Cloud certification from any cloud providers.
  • Experience with application non-functional requirements including monitoring (APM tools), logging (Splunk), and distributed tracing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of home mortgage origination process: applications, processing, and closing.
  • Experience with SONAR and Fortify.
  • Experience with clean coding concepts.
  • Working knowledge of IDEs like Eclipse IDE, VSCode IDE.
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools like Jira, Confluence.
