Job Overview

We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team at Walgreens. As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures.

About the Role

The successful candidate will champion On-Shelf Availability and be responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes. You will validate and ensure accuracy of planograms, review and coordinate reports and system applications, and execute front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, counting, and processing inventory shipments
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities
  • Executing and coaching team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes
  • Scanning deliveries, marking as received, and contacting vendors for undelivered products
  • Verifying pharmacy shipments, postings, and order fulfillment
  • Completing OSA process, disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns
  • Executing pricing activities, including price changes, markdowns, and deletes
  • Supporting front-end and pharmacy ordering, and maintaining consigned inventory
  • Maintaining store inventory compliance with state and local laws
  • Assisting with inventory record maintenance, sales floor preparation, and physical inventory activities

Requirements

  • 6 months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or 1 year of prior retail work experience (external candidates)
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Achieving expectations rating on last performance review (internal candidates only)

Salary Range
