NeuroBehavioral Hospitals serves numerous unique individuals each month, many of whom receive direct clinical care, including life-saving interventions.

Your Role in Making a Difference:

The Safety and Security Officer operates under the general oversight of the Security Manager and is tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the facility. This position also serves as the primary contact for all individuals entering or reaching out to the organization. The Security Officer is responsible for responding to emergencies, enforcing security protocols, and monitoring surveillance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responds to requests and emergency calls for assistance, conducting regular inspections of the facility.
  • Monitors the CCTV security system and patrols the premises to identify unauthorized individuals or vehicles.
  • Registers and logs visitors, conducts screenings for individuals entering the facility, and provides escorts as necessary.
  • Participates in emergency drills, crisis intervention training, and court appearances as required.
  • Completes incident reports, maintains logs, secures property, and performs additional duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Must hold (or be eligible for) a valid State of Florida D Security License or a valid State of Florida G Security License.
  • Experience in arrest, search, and seizure preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required and maintained per policy
