Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at The Laurels of Forest Glenn. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. If you have a passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with standardized recipes and menu cycles developed by registered dietitians.
- Cook or prepare appetizing, well-presented, and nutritionally-adequate meals in quantities that are served at the proper temperatures and within the appropriate time frames.
- Use food supplies and equipment in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste.
- Prepare and maintain food alternatives to accommodate resident choices and refusals of meals served.
- Supervise culinary staff with regard to food storage, food preparation, tray assembly, and cleaning.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.
